Does a lot of what you see on Facebook strike you as facile? Yeah, me too. That's what all of this is about really. It's about my reaction to the endless stream of pet-worshipping, meme-sharing, hug-disseminating 'friends' that share our virtual realm.

I don't mind admitting that I only signed up in the first place out of curiosity and, like every other user, found much to like. Familiarity quickly bred contempt, however, and before long facebook was annoying the bejaysus out of me. I started a group as an antidote and Hugs, hearts and histrionics is the story of what occurred.
